Mercury, known as Hermes in Greek mythology, was the Roman messenger god. Mercury is primarily remembered as the messenger of the Roman gods. He would deliver messages and commands from the other deities to mortals and vice versa.

In the obverse design of the Sunshine Mercury Silver Bar, you will find a modern depiction of the ancient Roman god. Here, Mercury is shown with a muscular physique as he is captured in motion on the move to deliver a message. He is wearing one of the most well-known symbols of his role in Roman mythology, the winged cap.

For the reverse face of 1 oz Mecury Silver Bars, you will find the SMI logo and the identifying hallmarks of the bar. The bottom of the design field includes the Sunshine Eagle as the security feature, with the weight, purity, and metal content noted on the bar.
