These rounds have the iconic design of the Buffalo Nickel that was introduced in 1913 by James Earle Fraser. Despite originally being featured on a low-value coin without any precious metal content, the Buffalo Nickel design has remained a beloved and enduring symbol of American currency throughout the 20th century and beyond.

James Earle Fraser redesigned the US nickel in 1913, following the redesign of the US penny in 1909, and all four denominations of the US Eagle Gold Series in 1907 and 1908. The dime, quarter, and half dollar were subsequently redesigned in 1916, followed by the US silver dollar in 1921.

All of the 1/10 oz SilverTowne Buffalo Silver Rounds are available for purchase individually or in bulk, with plastic flips included for individual rounds. If you buy multiple rounds, they will come in acrylic tubes or boxes, depending on the quantity purchased. Select quantities of rounds will be housed in cardboard boxes that hold tubes.

The obverse design of the SilverTowne Buffalo Silver Round features a stoic indigenous figure in right-profile relief. Fraser created the facial features using three tribal elders of the early 20th century.

On the reverse face of the 1/10 oz Buffalo Silver Rounds, SilverTowne offers Fraser’s striking depiction of a buffalo. The body of the buffalo is facing left, and every detail of its fur and horns is expertly crafted.
