Ian Fleming originated the trope of the gentleman spy with the publication of the first James Bond novel, CASINO ROYALE. It was the seed of what would go on to be an iconic film franchise, launched ten years later with the movie DR. NO and with Sean Connery providing an unforgettable take on Fleming’s spy hero. James Bond would go on to take the silver screen, and pop culture generally, by storm. Sixty years later, the Perth Mint commemorates that legacy in pure silver.

The 2022 1 oz Tuvalu Silver James Bond Family Crest Coin comes packaged individually or in bulk. The coins are housed in capsules with sealed rolls of 20 and boxes of 100 also available. Brilliant Uncirculated quality means each coin will have its original-mint luster.

The obverse side of the coin features a classic effigy of Queen Elizabeth II to confirm it as legal tender of Tuvalu. Her image is accompanied by the inscriptions “1 oz 9999 Ag,” “2022,” “TUVALU,” “1 DOLLAR,” and “QUEEN ELIZABETH II.”

The coin’s reverse side carries the Bond family crest with its motto “ORBIS NON SUFFICIT,” meaning “the world is not enough.” It’s accompanied by the inscription “SIXTY YEARS OF JAMES BOND” and the famous 007 gun logo.
