The Magnificent Maple Leaf has been available from the Royal Canadian Mint for several years. These beautiful 10 oz silver bullion coins contain .9999 pure silver content and have a design element on the reverse that is unique compared to the sugar maple leaf on the national bullion series, the Canadian Maple Leaf coins. This design shows two maple leaves with each leaf connected to the other at the base of the stem.
Queen Elizabeth II is featured on the obverse side of the 2021 10 Canadian Silver Magnificent Maple Leaf Coins. Her Majesty is shown here in the fourth-generation effigy on Canadian coins. The image was created in 2003 by Susanna Blunt and remains in use across all forms of Canadian coinage; circulation, bullion, and commemorative alike.
A sugar maple leaf design from Celia Godkins is found in the reverse element of 2021 10 oz Canadian Silver Magnificent Maple Leaf Coins. The maple leaves shown here have reached maturity and are connected at the base of their stems. Each of these coins has radial lines in the background field, with a micro laser-engraved maple leaf privy mark on the reverse.
The Royal Canadian Mint was founded in 1908 as the new sovereign mint of Canada. The mint’s construction made it easier to quickly refine gold and silver that had been discovered a decade earlier in the Yukon Territories. Today, it is one of the most respected minting organizations in the world.
