Each 2022 8 Gram Chinese Gold Panda Coin listed here is available to you inside protective plastic pouches. Each pouch is individually sealed and the coins arrive from the Chinese Mint in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.

Chinese Gold Panda coins were introduced by the Chinese Mint in 1982. Originally marked in Troy oz for weights, the coins came with 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz options. The series immediately added a 1/20 oz gold coin in 1983. In 2016, the Chinese Mint moved away from Troy oz weights to Gram weights. The coins available in the series remained the same and became the 30 Gram, 15 Gram, 8 Gram, 3 Gram, and 1 Gram gold instead.

For the obverse design of 2022 Chinese Gold Panda Coins, the mint continues with the image of the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests. This design has featured on all gold coins in the series since 1982 and is also used on the silver coins in the series as of the 1983 debut of that coin series.

In the reverse design of 2022 8 Gram Gold Panda Coins is a depiction of two Giant Pandas. This year’s playful design showcases two pandas enjoying a day in the snow. The pandas are sliding down a snowy hill side-by-side. One panda is shown on its stomach sliding down head first, while the other panda is shown on its back sliding down feet first.
