St. Helena is a volcanic island located in the South Atlantic Ocean, about 1,200 miles west of the coast of southwestern Africa. It is one of the most remote inhabited islands in the world, with no major landmasses nearby. Historically, the East India Company used the island as a refueling station and stopover location for its ships moving between England and the East Indies.

His Majesty now features on EIC and St. Helena coins following the passing of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Charles III is shown here in left-profile relief without a crown.
