Among the golds coins for sale to investors today, the Chinese Gold Panda was the third major program to hit the mark, debuting ahead of some other major names like the American Gold Eagle, British Gold Britannia, and the Australian Gold Kangaroo.

When the series started in 1982, the Chinese Mint issued four coins in total: 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz. Just a year later, the mint introduced a 1/20 oz gold coin and has continued with these five weights since then. You’ll notice, however, that the Chinese Mint has switched from Troy ounces to Grams, a move that occurred in 2016.

For the obverse design of the 2023 30 Gram Gold Panda Coin, the mint features the static image of the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests. This design has been on the obverse of all gold coins in this series since 1982.

In the reverse field of the 2023 Chinese Gold Panda Coin, the Chinese Mint offers its latest effigy of the Giant Panda. In this design, one panda has made its way high into the branches of a tree and is looking down at its companion as the second panda looks to climb up the tree as well.

These 2023 30 Gram Chinese Gold Panda Coins are available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The coins are packaged individually in plastic pouches or in rolls of 10 coins.
