Goldbacks are a unique and affordable way to invest in the gold market. Following the success of the first four releases, South Dakota becomes the 5th state to be featured in this unique collection. These gold notes are made by containing 24-karat gold within two clear layers of polyester.
Goldbacks represent some of the smallest forms of spendable gold on the market. These unique pieces of voluntary currency debuted in Utah with a 5-denomination set. Their popularity allowed the series to expand to Nevada the following year. New Hampshire and Wyoming joined in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
Each 25 South Dakota Goldback Gold Note will arrive in a currency sleeve to preserve the condition of your gold. The 25 Goldback is identical in size to a Federal Reserve note. Each 25 Goldback contains 1/40th of actual gold content. Aurum gold notes are produced by Valaurum in the United States of America using 24-karat gold.
The obverse field of each 25 South Dakota Goldback Note showcases a depiction of Laruea. The name Laurea originally referred to a laurel wreath that one would wear after accomplishing something. This depiction shows a female embodiment of Laurea holding a basket as she stands near a river.
A mirrored image of the obverse is present on the reverse design of each 25 South Dakota Goldback Note. Goldbacks are so thin that any design element on the reverse would alter the obverse design.
