It was established in 1194 and has a rich history of producing high-quality coins, medals, and other numismatic products. Historically, the Austrian Mint issued coins for the nation, and in the modern era, has released the Austrian Philharmonic bullion series since 1989.
On the obverse of the 2024 Austrian Silver Philharmonic Coin, you will find a depiction of the Great Pipe Organ. The Musikverein has been home to the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra for more than 150 years and the Great Pipe Organ is the third organ installed in the building. It has been in use since the 1910s.
The reverse side of 2024 1 oz Silver Philharmonic Coins includes a vision of musical instruments. This cluster of instruments is reflective of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and includes a cello, four violins, a harp, a bassoon, and a French horn.
