The British Royal Arms Series is a collection of bullion coins from the Royal Mint of England that features a modern interpretation of the Royal Arms. This seal encapsulates the rich history of the monarchy and the United Kingdom. The 2023 10 oz British Silver Royal Arms Coins are now available online from Metals Mint.

These coins come in individual protective capsules and are the fifth coin in the British Silver Royal Arms collection. They are also the largest option available and feature a stunning vision of the Royal Arms. Each coin contains 10 Troy ounces of .999 pure silver in brilliant uncirculated condition and has a face value of 10 Pound sterling (GBP) fully backed by the British government.

King Charles III is featured on the obverse side of the coin, while the reverse side showcases the Royal Arms design. The artwork is created by Timothy Noad, and the history of the Royal Arms dates back to the rule of King Richard I at the end of the 12th century.

Richard I marched his forces into battle with an insignia bearing three lions in passant guardant pose, which was adopted in 1198 as the first Royal Arms of England. The modern Royal Arms includes various symbols, but the Three Lions remains at the heart as the coat of arms of England.

The obverse side of the 2023 10 oz Silver Royal Arms Coins features the first British coin portrait of King Charles III, designed in 2022 by Martin Jennings. The bust of Charles III flips his orientation to left-profile relief and comes with no crown, following British coin design traditions.

The reverse side of the 2023 British Silver Royal Arms Coin features Timothy Noad’s interpretation of the modern Royal Arms. This design features a quartered shield with the Imperial Crown at the top, the Lion of England on the left, and the Unicorn of Scotland on the right. All 2023 10 oz British Silver Royal Arms Coins are available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and come in a protective capsule.
