Goldbacks are a unique, fun, and affordable way to invest in gold. In particular, any 1 Goldback Gold Note offers you the smallest form of gold currency currently available. Following the success of the first four states, South Dakota is the latest to embrace the trend of voluntary currency.
Goldbacks are shaped like normal currency but contain thin layers of 24-karat gold. These unique notes were released first in Utah thanks to the Utah Legal Tender Act in 2019 as a form of voluntary currency. This means you can spend these notes based on the discretion of the vendor in Utah. Nevada, New Hampshire, and Wyoming released in each respective year that followed. Now, South Dakota has become the fifth state to offer these Goldbacks.
All 1 South Dakota Goldback Gold Notes listed here will arrive in a currency sleeve in brand-new condition. Goldbacks with a denomination of 1 represent the smallest form of spendable gold currently on the market. Aurum gold notes are produced by Valaurum in the United States of America using 24-karat gold.
A depiction of Pax is shown on the obverse field of each 1 South Dakota Goldback Note. Pax is Latin for peace as well as the Roman goddess of peace. She’s seen holding a group of five rings and she’s surrounded by an array of animals. Flowers are shown at the bottom of the design field as a mountain range completes the design on top of the note.
The reverse offers a mirrored image of the obverse field. Due to the thin nature of these notes, any design elements displayed on the reverse would alter or interfere with the obverse field.
