This young depiction of Libertas is exercising her freedom as she explores the wilds of Wyoming. As she does so, a massive waterfall crashes down in the background. A massive bear is captured in the background field as two wolves are shown in the foreground.

For the reverse design of 50 Wyoming Goldback Gold Notes, the field does not have its own design element. The thin nature of the Goldback means that the obverse designs are reflected as mirror images on this side of the note. Were there a design on this side, it would likewise interfere with the obverse design. As such, only the obverse has its own, distinct design.
